About The Position

The Supervisor, Table Games Service at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort is responsible for supervising the operation of one or more table games on an assigned shift. The role emphasizes guest service, enhancing the guest experience, and engaging in service recovery. The supervisor monitors employee performance, ensuring adherence to various regulations and company policies, and is involved in employee motivation through recognition and corrective coaching. Additionally, the supervisor ensures game integrity and the security of departmental assets.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • BSBA degree from an accredited educational institution preferred.
  • Two to five years casino experience with direct dealing in assigned pit area required.
  • One-year supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Blackjack and at least one other major game (Craps, Roulette, or Baccarat) required.
  • Excellent customer relations, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Documented ability to comply with regulatory issues and follow detailed procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of casino rules, regulations, and Internal Control Procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including handling volatile situations.
  • Proficient in Windows-based office software including Microsoft Office.

  • Experience in a supervisory role within a casino environment.
  • Knowledge of CMS and Caesars Rewards systems.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort.
  • Serve as a dynamic and energetic leader, fostering teamwork, employee morale, motivation, and open communication.
  • Provide appropriate recognition and rewards to individuals and groups for superior performance.
  • Counsel, guide, coach, evaluate, and instruct assigned personnel in their duties.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of assigned team of dealers and daily pit staff.
  • Use independent judgment to issue or recommend employee discipline and awards.
  • Participate in the hiring, performance evaluation, and termination processes.
  • Prepare and coordinate the periodical performance review of assigned personnel.
  • Maintain key security and alert Casino Manager to potential safety problems.
  • Display a working knowledge of all table games and house rules.
  • Handle disputes and ensure dealers deliver high-quality guest service.
  • Manage labor, supplies, and other expense items consistent with company strategy.
