About The Position

The HCC Coder position at The Judge Group Inc. involves reviewing medical records to accurately abstract ICD-10 codes that correspond to HCCs, RxHCCs, and ESRD models. Requirements

• Must be certified through AAPC or AHIMA (CPC, CRC, COC, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CCS-P).
• At least 6 months of HCC coding experience and 1 year of on-the-job coding experience.
• Working knowledge of EMRs, billing systems, and abstraction platforms.
• Must have a phone, reliable internet connection, and current coding materials (ICD-10-CM coding references).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records to abstract ICD-10 codes related to HCCs, RxHCCs, and ESRD models.
• Follow Medicare guidelines and ICD-10-CM guidelines as well as client-specific requirements.
• Analyze and code patient medical records based on project-specific guidelines.
• Interpret coding guidelines for accurate code assignment.
• Adhere to Risk Adjustment Data Abstraction Rules.
• Maintain a quality score of 95% or higher.
• Achieve ongoing productivity levels based on project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with privacy and security rules and regulations.
