About The Position

Youth Haven Services is a comprehensive mental health agency specializing in children, adolescents, and their families. We currently needing a Team Lead for our growing Intensive In-Home Program. As the Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing, coaching, and guiding Intensive In-Home team members that will serve clients in these counties: Persons, Alamance, and Caswell - see below for qualifications about the position. This position will focus on providing direct care, supportive counseling, and rehabilitative services for children and adolescent clients who have a mental/behavioral diagnosis; as outlined in their Person-Centered Plan. Additionally, each position will provide interventions that are strength-based, focus on promoting recovery, symptom reduction, increased coping skills and achievement of the highest level of functioning in the community. Duties must be performed according to YHS policies and standards dictated by State guidelines. The Intensive In-Home (IIH) Licensed Professional will be responsible for providing individual and family therapy for each consumer served by the team, providing and coordinating the assessment and reassessment of the recipient’s clinical needs, providing clinical expertise and direction in regard to the team’s interventions used with consumers and families, and providing clinical supervision of all IIH team members.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant human services field such as Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited school of graduate education required.
  • Must be a Licensed or Provisionally Licensed Professional in the state of North Carolina.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of documented clinical experience working with the population served is required.
  • Ability to identify with and understand another person’s experience and point of view.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both verbal and non-verbal, with a diverse population is essential.
  • Ability to analyze information gathered from unbiased observation and communication is critical.
  • Demonstrated ethical and professional behavior.
  • Home and Community based travel required. Some remote work may be available.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and car insurance in good standing.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts ongoing evaluation, assessment, counseling, and treatment to children/families in need of services.
  • Provides administrative and clinical supervision for each team member. Conducts weekly meetings with the Intensive In-Home team to provide supervision, monitors implementation of the Person-Centered Plan, manages productivity, and monitors the overall performance of the team.
  • Provides and coordinates the assessment and reassessment of the recipient’s clinical needs, treatment progress, and treatment plan to best practice standards, both clinical and collateral/case management support.
  • Contributes to and ensures that Quality Assurance benchmarks for service provision of IIH services, including monitoring treatment needs and progress over time, outcome tracking clients’ needs, thorough documentation, and transition/discharge planning.
  • Ensures team compliance in administrative program requirements including intakes/authorization/reauthorizations, utilizing units/productivity, and documentation timeliness.
