About The Position

The HBOT Technician at CitiMed is responsible for administering hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients, ensuring they receive proper treatment and care. This role involves scheduling patients, monitoring their treatment, and maintaining the hyperbaric chamber to ensure a safe and effective environment for therapy. The technician plays a crucial role in the rehabilitation process for patients with traumatic injuries, contributing to their recovery and overall health.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Fluency in Spanish

Responsibilities

• Receive referral for HBOT or review progress sheets for referrals from drive
• Ensure referral is completed properly and rescanned if necessary
• Contact patient and schedule HBOT evaluation to determine candidacy for treatment
• Explain HBOT treatment in detail to candidates and advise on any changes affecting treatment
• Ensure patients sign evaluation forms and file and scan them accordingly
• Monitor patients and control the pressure inside a hyperbaric chamber
• Clean the chamber after each treatment and change pillow cases
• Deep clean the chamber weekly
• Manage and update the HBOT spreadsheet with all referrals (Active/No HBOT)
• Keep track of supplies such as wipes, towels, air freshener, pillow cases, table paper, and mattress covers
