About The Position

The Safety Director at Healogics is responsible for administering hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients, ensuring the safe and effective operation of hyperbaric chambers and related support systems. This role involves preparing and educating patients, monitoring their responses during therapy, and maintaining accurate treatment records. The position requires adherence to all relevant policies and regulations while contributing to the overall safety and quality of patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current healthcare professional certification or license applicable in state of practice.
• Minimum of two years' experience in healthcare preferred.
• Prior experience in wound or critical care preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of software applications for wound management preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite skills (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Prepares, educates, and orients patients about Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.
• Administers hyperbaric oxygen therapy as prescribed by the Hyperbaric Provider.
• Monitors and controls the performance of hyperbaric chamber equipment during therapy sessions.
• Makes appropriate data entries for daily hyperbaric treatments and wound care clinic visits.
• Operates and maintains the hyperbaric chamber and other support oxygen systems as required.
• Assists in vein clinic as assigned after completing Healogics Vein Clinic training.
• Participates in safety program activities, including safety drills.
• May function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) if certified as CMA or LPN.
• Performs other duties as required.
