HB Insurance Follow Up Specialist I is responsible for timely follow-up of facility claims for all acute care based locations. The Specialist I researches and writes appeals on denied claims and manages assigned portion of AR. Additionally, the Specialist responds to insurance company requests for information and works to identify issues to bring to management's attention. What you will do Manages assigned portion of AR and works aging reports. Reviews accounts to ensure proper reimbursement of claims and reports any problems, issues and trends to management. Follows up on insurance claims and denials to determine appropriate action based on carrier requirements. Researches and writes appeals to insurance companies on denied accounts. Resubmits applicable insurance claims within 24 hours of receipt. Meet productivity and QA standards set by management. Performs other tasks and special projects as needed.
