The HazMat Retail Driver will be responsible for operating Class A trucks in a Less Than Truckload (LTL) capacity to pick up customer retail waste from various locations including retail stores, pharmacies, and industrial sites. The driver's duties include sorting customer waste, verifying proper packaging, labeling, and marking, and securing it for transport to a temporary storage or treatment facility. This role emphasizes excellent customer service through follow-up and ongoing communication on-site, as well as maintaining electronic logs, manifests, and work orders. The driver must comply with all government regulations and procedures related to hazardous waste. The position operates Monday through Friday with variable scheduling, potentially including 3-4 overnight shifts per week, and drivers can expect most weekends and holidays off, with occasional exceptions for critical business needs.Republic Services, Inc. is a leader in the environmental services industry, providing recycling, waste, special waste, hazardous waste, and field services.
