Position Summary In your role as a HAZMAT Chemical and Gas Professional you'll be responsible for the safe and compliant management, storage, and transportation of hazardous materials and gases. You'll also play a critical role in leading logistics and safety initiatives, managing material vendor performance, and ensuring operational excellence through efficient processes, detailed reporting, and cross-functional team engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or Business related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years in Supply Chain with at least one year in inventory and supply chain management.
  • Skilled in MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Advanced Excel data analysis skill. (required.)
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills; effective communication.
  • Ability to analyze large volumes of data and provide issue resolution to closure.

Responsibilities

  • Excellent understanding of supply chain management principles and ability to apply statistical and quantitative methods to optimize inventory; establish metrics and KPIs to monitor success.
  • Support hazardous materials management activities in compliance with DOT, internal EH&S, and site SOP requirements.
  • Create and produce daily, weekly, and monthly operational and KPI reports to meet department goals.
  • Perform causative research and document discrepancies using all available resources to identify root causes and propose solutions.
  • Provide oversight of logistics operations and serve as a technical subject matter expert for SOPs.
  • Utilize SAP or other ERP systems to support materials planning, tracking, discrepancy resolution, and reporting.
  • Participate in cross-functional task forces and continuous improvement initiatives as a materials management subject matter expert.
  • Regularly monitor workflow and execution of assigned logistical functions for SAS and SDS.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities for raw material logistics, including benchmarking and lean process initiatives.
