About The Position

The Hazmat Driver at GrayMar Environmental Services, LLC is responsible for the safe transportation of both hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials using various vehicle types. Requirements

• CDL B license with Hazmat Endorsement
• At least 2 years of commercial driving experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Driving experience with Tanker Endorsement
• Ability to operate multiple vehicle types such as Roll-Offs, Tankers, Box Vans, and Air Movers
• Safety-oriented mindset with a determination to follow all procedures and policies

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Guzzler, Vactor Operator, Vacuum Truck, and Box Truck operations

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe transport of equipment to job sites and perform a variety of tasks associated with industrial and environmental cleaning, hazardous waste pick-up.
• Safely operate a tanker truck and obey all traffic control devices.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the truck driven.
• Manage a schedule and work independently.
• Properly clean up product spills when necessary.
• Clean and decontaminate regulated materials from spills, trenches, drains, oil/water separators, boilers, tanks, and other industrial cleaning applications.
• Run, maintain, and troubleshoot motors, pumps, chainsaws, generators, outboard motors, air compressors, asphalt cutters, and other small power tools.
• Prompt attendance on job assignments which may encompass early and after hours start times.
• Maintain up-to-date training and education for licenses, permits, and regulatory information specific to job responsibilities.
• Perform non-emergency and emergency response activities.
