The Specialized Assignment Recruitment for Hazardous Materials (HazMat) Technician - Firefighter/Paramedics is an ongoing recruitment process. Specialized assignments will be posted annually from January 1st to December 31st, allowing employees to apply throughout the year. Interviews for these specialized assignments will only be conducted if a vacancy occurs. When a vacancy arises, an email will be sent out at least one week prior to the interview date, announcing the vacancy, application deadline, and interview dates. Eligible applicants will be invited to interview, and selections will be made from the candidates who participated in the interview process. If another vacancy occurs before the end of the year, a similar notification process will be followed.
