Requirements

  • 2-4 years related experience.
  • Associate degree (Supply Chain or Logistics).
  • Non-degree considered if 6+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED.
  • Frequent travel and overnight stays.
  • Job requires employee to drive a personal vehicle.

Nice To Haves

  • Experienced in Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
  • Knowledge of international and domestic shipping and regulations under Code of Federal Regulations Title 49, International Air Transport Association, and International Maritime Dangerous Goods.
  • Good organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead as individual contributor and work as contributing team member on cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills, detail oriented, and able to multi-task.
  • Professional with high degree of autonomy.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, evaluate, and categorize hazardous materials by assigning UN classifications for transportation.
  • Monitor and flag dangerous goods for all new and existing products.
  • Extract, review, interpret and prepare necessary data for hazardous materials from multiple systems.
  • Work with supply chain and branch operations to determine, maintain, and audit hazardous materials.
  • Provide requirements to internal stakeholders.
  • Create a metric for shipments.
  • Ensure auditability of UN classifications.
  • Identify actions and implement process changes.
  • Work to implement processes that support hazardous materials identification and reduce compliance risk.
  • Develop and implement safety procedures of hazardous materials.
  • Work independently to conduct analysis.
  • Research regulations and best practices to plan changes and oversee implementation.
  • Document procedures.
  • Aid in developing training that meet regulations.
  • Support Supply Chain program activities.
  • Troubleshoot hazmat transportation issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
