About The Position

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Hazard Waste Specialist for the Evening Shift. This position is crucial for assisting with the removal of all biohazardous waste streams from the UAMS Campus and surrounding sites. The specialist will be responsible for segregating, packing, and preparing waste for shipment to a disposal facility. Additionally, the role involves inspecting and maintaining the cleanliness of soiled/dirty utility rooms in all clinical areas of the UAMS main campus and central Arkansas off-site clinics. Requirements

High School Diploma/GED or formal education equivalent
1 year experience in a healthcare or regulatory environment
Ability to follow oral instruction, read and write
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must have proven customer service skills

Nice To Haves

A minimum of 2 - 5 years’ experience in a healthcare or regulatory environment
3-5 years customer service experience in a logistic based customer facing role
