About The Position

Provides individual instruction and coaching to supplement classroom learning. Must be fluent Hawaiian.

Requirements

• Students may only have 5 open job applications at a time.
• Work Experience: Intermediate (Developing Skills)
• Work Experience Description: Ideal for students who have begun gaining relevant experience and are building their skills through internships, part-time jobs, or significant projects. Typically aimed at sophomores or juniors who have completed a combination of introductory and advanced coursework.
• Education Lower Division Courses Completed
• Work Experience 6 Months
• General Work Experience
• Must be fluent Hawaiian.

Responsibilities

• Provide feedback to students using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, or build confidence in students.
• Teach students study skills, note-taking skills, and test-taking strategies.
• Review class material with students by discussing text, working solutions to problems, or reviewing worksheets or other assignments.
• Provide private instruction to individuals or small groups of students to improve academic performance, improve occupational skills, or prepare for academic or occupational tests.
• Assess students' progress throughout tutoring sessions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
