The Specialist 1, Sales Development position involves executing policies and procedures under the direction of the Assistant Manager, focusing on selling, planning, developing, and coordinating new revenue sources, particularly for Japanese companies expanding into Hawaii.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent.
• 2 to 3 years of work experience in the sales industry.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Japanese (written and verbal).
• Excellent customer service skills and knowledge of business protocol.
• Knowledge of Hawaii's tourism infrastructure and basic business concepts.
• Working knowledge of basic computer systems and software.
• Possess valid Hawaii driver's license with clean abstract.

Responsibilities

• Research public calls for proposals, bidding opportunities, and projects issued by Japanese and American governments.
• Discover Japanese companies interested in expanding their businesses into Hawaii and initiate contact.
• Plan, arrange, and manage events and promotions tailored to client requirements.
• Create implementation plans and reports for events and promotions.
• Respond to inquiries and resolve issues for assigned clients.
• Update and maintain optional tour/omiyage tariff data in in-house systems.
• Communicate with departments to resolve customer claims and complaints.
• Coordinate with other departments on events organized by the company.

Benefits

• Competitive hourly pay range of $20.00 - $24.50.
