About The Position

Hatchery Worker Full Time - Hourly Applicants must not now, or at any time in the future, require employer sponsorship for a work visa. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer. Must be 18 years of age or older (all plant positions) At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package. The base hiring pay for this role is $20.15 per hour.

Requirements

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Able to abide by strict bio-security guidelines
• Basic math skills
• Ability to grasp and pinch repeatedly with both hands, hand coordination to rotate wrists and manipulate poults with fingers and thumb of both hands
• Be able to work in a moderately dusty environment continuously
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Pull hatch in morning
• Able to count 25 poults per corner in box
• Washing and disinfecting hatchers and floor
• Transfer eggs from incubator to hatcher
• Clean floors after transfer and disinfect them
• Other duties as assigned
