About The Position

Schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. 4:45AM to 3:45PM. S hift times and days can vary depending on production needs. Weekend work and holiday work will be required at times. Must wear respirator at times (MUST NOT HAVE A BEARD older than 24 hours) and mustache. If mustache is present, then it MUST BE TRIMMED at the corners of your mouth) to be able to adequately fit within the mask. MUST PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS TASKED BY ADMINISTRATION. This position is responsible for entry level, non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Applicants will be considered for any general labor type opening in any department that may include, but not limited to: Hatchery worker, supplier, assembler, topper, hand wrapper, packer, stacker, sanitation. Other tasks include standing, walking, stretching, bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, squatting and reaching. Candidate must be willing to lift, push and carry in many areas on the production floor (weight depends on area ranging from 15 – 50 pounds). Candidates must be available to work overtime and weekends as required to meet production deadlines; must have the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment; must be willing to be cross trained and moved to other areas as needed and must be willing and able to stand for 8 – 12 hours per day on hard floors in extreme hot or cold environments ranging from 50 to 120 degrees. Must be able to work in damp/warm conditions. Must be able to perform other jobs as requested by management at BOTH HATCHERIES. Must always ensure safety and be responsible for keeping work area free of clutter and/or tripping hazard and always be organized. Must be able to communicate with management and maintenance when issues arise. Must be able to complete tasks independently, some shifts may require you to work alone. Must be able to pull chicks, grade chicks, breakouts, washing trays and machines, moving buggies, cleaning, place chickens in the houses.
