About The Position

Job Details: Hatchery Worker Labor HY01- (Egg Setter) pay: $18.70 Job Responsibilities: Job Responsibilities vary, the Team Member will be primarily responsible for setting eggs, moving racks of product weighing approximately 900 lbs. or greater consistently throughout the day, approximately 48 racks, and or boxes throughout the facility in a concerted manner, they will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe workspace. This will include but not be limited to operating machinery, counting, reading, scrubbing, soaping, rinsing, disinfecting, mopping, or buffing to meet all sanitation requirements set forth. The team member will also be responsible for practicing safe and delicate egg and chick handling, as well as promoting and practicing proper Animal Welfare Guidelines. Applicants must be able to lift approximately 30 lbs. occasionally, must be able to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull and reach for long periods of time- up to 10 + hours a shift, must be able to work in an area with a high concentration of allergens such as chick down, dust etc. Will be working in a climate ranging from cold to hot temperatures with high humidity. Must have a flexible schedule and complete all tasks or duties as assigned by management. This position is considered a Heavy Lifting job due to the rolling racks. Shift: 1st - Work Days: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. (4-Day Work Week) Hours Vary: 9:45 a.m. -8:00 p.m. or until finished. Must have a flexible work schedule. Requirements: Must not own, possess, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild or exotic fowl to be considered. Animal Welfare background check is required. Only applicants from the following counties in Arkansas will be considered: Washington, Benton, Madison and Adair County in OK, or within a 50-mile radius of the facility. Will not consider applicants who have worked for Tyson Foods 3X or more. Must have 6 months consecutive work history with one employer within the previous 12 months. This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only. Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner This position is responsible for performing various hatchery tasks while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
