About The Position

Fast paced, physical position in which Team Member will pick up, deliver and inspect eggs to determine quality and fitness for incubation; cleans/sanitizes and stores eggs under controlled conditions in egg facility.

Requirements

Must have at least 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months. If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months.
Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.
Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.
Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.).
Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.

Nice To Haves

Applicants with previous agricultural or production experience will be considered preferred.

Responsibilities

Pick up and delivers eggs from chicken houses to egg facility. (20%)
Set up and testing of egg sanitizer prior to each egg pull; properly performs egg inventory practices and records egg pull inventory. (10%)
Observes eggs moving on conveyors through sanitizers; observes shell color/texture and external characteristics such as streaks, shadings, discolorations, cracks. (25%)
Place hatching eggs on buggies and in boxes and properly label both internal/external orders. (25%)
Performs the following sanitation activities: operate and clean egg sanitizer; remove waste (egg shells, feathers, feces, etc.); clean and sanitize egg room, connecting areas, crates and flats, and vehicles; fumigation of rooms. (10%)
Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time or without notice, such as; preventative maintenance; places broken, dirty or other substandard eggs in container for disposal; monitors, controls, and records proper room temperatures, humidity controls; dispenses formaldehyde per schedule; properly euthanize weak, ill or injured birds in accordance with company policy.
