About The Position

The Hatchery Lead is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the hatchery and providing leadership across all production and technical functions within the department. This role ensures operational efficiency, safety, quality compliance, and effective team performance.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• One (1) to three (3) years of experience in a hatchery environment preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Take a proactive approach to identifying and immediately addressing safety, quality, and operational concerns.
• Perform all duties in compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with training team members; assign and direct daily work activities; and support performance evaluations.
• Collaborate closely with Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Sanitation teams to coordinate projects and resolve issues as they arise.
• Execute tasks and projects as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
• Communicate effectively with team members in both one-on-one and group settings.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Perform all physical requirements of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds and completing repetitive or physically demanding tasks as needed.
