About The Position

The Hatchery Associate is primarily responsible for transferring a specified number of eggs from egg buggies to setter machines, while always using and maintaining personal protective equipment and complying with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state, and federal regulations. Requirements

Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours
Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character
Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or equivalent
Hatchery or relative poultry industry experience
Basic math functions and skills

Responsibilities

Primarily responsible for transferring a specified number of eggs from egg buggies to setter machine
Must always use and maintain personal protective equipment
Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations
Perform machine checks
Transfer eggs from buggies into setter machines
Pull and push egg buggies
Clean and sanitize machines, floors, drains, baskets, buggies, etc.
Comply with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state and federal laws, and regulations
All other duties as assigned
