Hatchery Associate I

About The Position
Aviagen is a leading poultry breeding company with opportunities all across the globe. We are currently seeking individuals to fill our open hatchery service room positions at our Watertown Hatchery. This position will be responsible for servicing day old chicks per our customers request.
Requirements
- Ability to handle moderate to physical work
- Must be able to complete repetitive work and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure
- Must be able to perform tasks with limited supervision
- Proven reliability in work attendance and willingness to give best effort
Responsibilities
- Responsible for product grading
- Responsible for preparation of shipping containers
- Responsible for counting product inventory
- Responsible for containment of defective product
- Box making, stacking, packing and other general duties
- Maintain proper handling, cleaning and safety of our products
- Meet all of the operating procedures as outlined by company policy
- Responsible for cleanliness in the Hatchery service room
- Sanitizing machines, floors and ceilings
