About The Position

The Harvest Technician at GrowSciences is responsible for preparing cultivation spaces and hallways for harvest, executing both whole plant and fresh frozen harvests, and assisting with final defoliations in flower rooms. This role involves meticulous product inspection for irregularities and contaminants, ensuring raw materials meet specifications. Post-harvest duties include thorough clean-up, room turnover, and logging waste in accordance with facility procedures. The technician also ensures proper hanging and labeling of plants in dry rooms and assists with compliance aspects, including the recording and reporting of harvest weights. GrowSciences is licensed by the State of Arizona to cultivate and process medical marijuana, with a mission to deliver high-quality medical cannabis to registered patients, adhering to strict standards for product quality, patient and public safety, service, and education.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED or higher
  • A minimum of (1) year of related cannabis experience
  • Maintain clean, sanitary and organized work areas
  • Self motivated and the ability to multitask
  • An effective and persuasive communicator that constantly strives for simplicity and clarity
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform manual labor tasks required for the management of the grow
  • Strong knowledge of the cannabis industry and the harvest process
  • Strong leadership experience, with experience leading large teams
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age; pursuant to A.R.S. §36-2801.10
  • Must consent to a criminal background check performed by the Company and/or the Arizona Department of Health Services, pursuant to A.R.S. § 36-2804.01
  • Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of the criminal background check conducted by the Arizona Department of Health Services, pursuant to A.R.S. §36-2804.01 and A.R.S. §36-2801.10
  • Valid Arizona State Issued ID

Responsibilities

  • Prepare cultivation space and hallway for harvest
  • Carry out whole plant harvest
  • Carry out fresh frozen harvest
  • Assist with final defoliations in flower rooms
  • Performs product inspection for irregularities, particulates and other contaminants
  • Verifies that raw materials meet specifications
  • Post-harvest clean up and room turnover
  • Logging waste in accordance with facility procedures
  • Ensure that plants get hung and labeled appropriately within the dry rooms
  • Assist with compliance aspects within the harvest process including the recording and reporting of harvest weights
