About The Position

The Harvest Superintendent oversees the efficiency of monitoring production, scanning the make sheet, and discussing daily goals with Supervisors. This role involves reporting to the Slaughter Office for the order sheet (make sheet), attending supervisor meetings, and reporting the work schedule to supervisors daily. The Superintendent directs supervisors regarding production volume, quality, cost, and meeting production schedules and delivery dates. They handle any employee grievances, disputes, or problems in the most efficient manner possible, with any unresolved matters taken up with Personnel. The Superintendent actively participates in group meetings, line meetings, and supervisory meetings, and works with the Quality Control department to ensure product quality and food safety. Additionally, they train and develop supervisors to provide management depth and foster teamwork to achieve department objectives. The role also includes monitoring and confirming that machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized, while maintaining good employee relations and adherence to labor contract provisions. The Superintendent has contact with line personnel, in addition to plant management.
