About The Position

Maintenance Lead will direct the daily activities of and work directly with Maintenance Technicians within an assigned area. They will be responsible for being an example to other Team Members using a continuous improvement mentality and will work to perpetuate a “Creekstone Proud” culture through attitude and actions. They are additionally responsible for maintaining plant equipment to supply maximum available uptime for production while ensuring the safest work environment possible.

Requirements

  • 1 year of industrial maintenance experience
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to present concepts, concerns, and questions in a thoughtful, positive, and professional manner
  • Ability to foster an atmosphere of teamwork and respect
  • Able to work productively and independently
  • Clear communication skills – verbally and in written form
  • Ability to coach and develop others into becoming a better employee
  • Leadership skills such as conflict resolution, encouraging others and inspiring excellence
  • Ability to take direction humbly and collaborate in order to define and pursue team goals
  • A positive outlook and attitude in taking initiative and problem solving, unprompted
  • Have completed at least 90 days in current position.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and adhere to all HACCP, food safety, and GMP guidelines and policies
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Understand and enforce all Creekstone Farms safety requirements.
  • Successfully complete and maintain required safety training
  • Monitor and participate in operations in assigned areas
  • During the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Lead fills in for the Supervisor
  • Give guidance, support and professional development to technicians
  • Assist in scheduling of work according to priorities and direction from the Superintendent and Supervisor
  • Ensure that all techs properly use the warehouse processes
  • Work with Maintenance Supervisor, to develop needed training for all techs
  • Assist in managing daily shift downtime reconciliation/action items
  • Ensure every position in area of responsibility is properly staffed at the start of each shift
  • Manage team members break times to ensure rotations are followed and time is not exceeded
  • Follow the plant’s continuous improvement process and plan
  • All other duties as assigned
