About The Position
The Music Teacher at Hart Magnet Elementary School is responsible for fostering a positive learning environment that encourages student independence and growth in musical skills. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of music education, human development, and effective teaching strategies. The Music Teacher will plan and implement instructional activities that meet the diverse needs of students, including those with exceptionalities. The role involves assessing student progress, communicating effectively with students and parents, and collaborating with colleagues to enhance the educational experience. The Music Teacher will also engage with the community to promote music education and support student learning. This position is contingent upon continued funding in the Board of Education budget and is part of the Stamford Public Schools system, which values teachers with dual certifications in TESOL, Bilingual Education, or ESL, as well as fluency in languages other than English.
