About The Position

As a Harness Technician Sr, you will work hands‐on with space hardware, translating designs into reality, and your skill and attention to detail will translate directly to on‐orbit mission success. Build and terminate wiring harnesses to a high quality and repetitious manner for Spacecraft installation. This role requires the ability to work the Second shift. This position's internal job code is Avionics and Harness Technician Sr. Our team is currently hiring for Grade 24.

Requirements

Minimum 4 years experience as a technician in aerospace or equivalent high‐reliability field
Certification to J‐STD‐001 space, NASA.STD.8739.4
Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail
Experience using hand tools, repairing and troubleshooting electronic components
Ability to read schematics, harness wiring diagrams, layout drawings, mechanical drawings, circuit layouts, and parts lists
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Applicants must pass a soldering and crimping test
Experience working in a clean room
Familiar with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Demonstrated ability to use computer applications for work documentation
Practice good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety at all times

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or equivalent
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills
Experienced with all MS Office software
Demonstrated ability to perform in‐process verify of work. (2PV)
4+ Years of knowledge of various wire harness tools to include manual and pneumatic crimpers is preferred
IPC/WHMA‐A‐620 highly desired
