About The Position

We are looking for skilled Hardwood Flooring Installers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing various types of hardwood floors with precision and attention to detail, including solid hardwood & performance engineered hardwood. This role involves working closely with clients to ensure their flooring needs are met with high-quality results.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Hardwood Flooring Installer or in a similar role, preferably in City of Chicago buildings, high rises, homes, and businesses.
• Knowledge of different types of hardwood flooring and installation techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design plans.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical fitness and ability to handle heavy materials.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in carpentry or flooring installation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accurately install various types of hardwood flooring according to project specifications and design plans.
• Prepare and clean the installation area, ensuring the subfloor is level and ready for installation.
• Measure, cut, and shape hardwood planks as needed to fit the designated space, paying attention to detail and ensuring minimal wastage.
• Apply finishes and sealants (where required) to the hardwood flooring for protection and longevity.
• Communicate effectively with the executive team to understand customer requirements and provide recommendations on flooring options.
• Conduct final inspections of the installed flooring to ensure quality standards are met and address any client concerns.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of equipment and protective gear.
