About The Position

Hardware Vulnerability Researcher The Opportunity: As an electrical engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems. We need you, an electrical engineer with an understanding of embedded system design, mobile platforms and architecture, and hardware security concepts to help us design and develop techniques for testing memory subsystems, security subsystems, and debugging interfaces on electronic devices to help develop new capabilities for our client. On our team, you will be part of a mission-oriented engineering group challenged to do the impossible and recover data that may be protected or deleted . Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in software development with C, C++, or Python
  • 1+ years of experience in embedded systems and Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) development
  • 1+ years of experience monitoring and capturing system-level buses and interfaces such as i 2C, USB, or JTAG
  • Experience using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, hardware debuggers, and tools to monitor and analyze hardware
  • Experience with assembly-level microcontroller programming and configuration
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or CS and 3+ years of experience in hardware engineering, OR Master's degree and 1+ years of experience in hardware engineering, OR 10+ years of experience in hardware engineering in lieu of a degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Operating System code
  • Experience with Reverse Engineering using Ghidra or IDA Pro
  • Experience with Fault Injection and Failure Analysis
  • Experience developing side-channel attacks
  • Knowledge of secure boot processes
  • Knowledge of cryptography
  • Knowledge of Flash memory and RAM concepts
