About The Position

Edgesource is seeking a Hardware Technician to support our hardware team at Fort Huachuca, AZ. The Hardware Technician provides technical support for computers and associated networks, installs and troubleshoots hardware and software, and supports the organization’s IT infrastructure.

Requirements

• AA or other 2-year technical degree in a related discipline and 6 years related experience.
• Must have at least a Top-Secret clearance to start, with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret/SCI.
• Security+ certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for computers and associated networks.
• Install, troubleshoot, service, and repair personal computers, network equipment (servers, modems, multiplexers), related PC software, telephones, cables, and connectors.
• Provide hardware and software support for personal computers.
• Install, service, and repair personal computers and attendant software.
• Connect personal computers and terminals to existing data networks.
• Maintain network diagrams and circuit records.
• Maintain trouble logs.
• Instruct users in the use of personal computers and networks.
• Investigate information, network, and communications needs of users and make recommendations regarding software and hardware purchases.
• Perform basic PC software programming.
• Document and maintain inventories of customer-owned equipment.
