About The Position

Hardware Technician Responsible for providing installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of information systems applications and related peripheral hardware. Assesses user needs and can solve a range of problems. Provide installation of new equipment and performs equipment modifications or enhancements. Perform technical tasks and assists with the completion of milestones associated with specific projects. Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. Provide installation and troubleshooting support of moderately complex issues for systems applications and related peripheral hardware. Provide incident response and performs customer support tasks. Deploy new hardware, software, and the upgrade of existing installations. Install cabling (to include, but not limited to, off-the-shelf fiber/ethernet cables and/or termination of custom-length ethernet cables) at desks, below raised floors, and above ceilings. Prepare and maintain documentation for processes and procedures related to computer systems installation and operations. Interact with and/or provides training/knowledge to end users. Maintain system documentation. Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies. May supervise site activities/assigned staff. Exercise sound judgement and decision making. Participate in special projects as assigned. Communicate well with team members. Property/Asset Management Develop and implement system improvements, processes, and procedures and training necessary to manage and protect government and corporate property investments. Ensure timely receipt, acquisition, identification, documentation, maintenance, inventory, movement, and storage of property. Ensure proper disposition of obsolete and excess assets. Participate in the taking of physical inventories and provides required inventory reports. Testing Ensure adherence to company and customer quality standards. Confirms the functionality of all deployed hardware. Follow Deployment Quality Control checklist. Provide Quality Control input to improve installation guides and general deployment documentation.
