About The Position

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of RF System design in the context of consumer electronics or similar, RF testing, and a passion for developing cutting-edge technology to enhance our product offerings. Conduct RF tests and analysis to ensure performance meets the product specifications. Effectively structures and solve ill-defined, ambiguous problems using standard & innovative approaches delivering significant and patentable innovative solutions for existing products/services. Design reliable and cost effective RF subsystems for a variety of consumer electronic devices, including broadband gateways, Wi-Fi extenders and Set top boxes. Develops novel approaches to reduce cost and schedule Leads cross functional team discussions on complex topics; ensures that all voices are heard so that an optimal decision/direction can be determined. With internal and external customers: leads discussions on technical topics, listens actively to ensure that the true needs are discovered, and influences where appropriate. Proactively identifies technical obstacles and actively helps in resolving those for the project or ideation teams. Builds and nurtures relationship within the technical leadership community in the BU. Works across all Vantiva Connected Home projects, supporting Hardware, and software engineering teams Works closely and technically coordinates across multiple disciplines Hardware and Antenna Engineering, Regulatory Compliance, and Software Perform testing and validation of RF prototypes, including anechoic chamber measurements and field testing. Troubleshoot and resolve RF-related issues in collaboration with other engineering teams. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong understanding of RF principles, microwave engineering, and electromagnetic theory. Document design processes, test results, and provide technical reports to stakeholders. Keeps up to date on the latest Technology and Regulatory Standards for implementing in Vantiva products. Act as a technical sounding board on technical challenges and issues as and when they appear

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in RF design and development for consumer electronics.
  • Experience with electronic simulation software (e.g., Schematic capture software, ADS/Genesys or equivalent, CST, HFSS).
  • Expert knowledge of RF PCB layout techniques.
  • Able to advise and identify layout issues early in the development phase
  • Hands-on experience with RF measurement and testing equipment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Nice To Haves

  • Highly desirable is knowledge in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Terrestrial and Cable RF frontends
