Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking to add a Hardware Responsible Engineer OR Principal Hardware Responsible Engineer to our team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This position will be in our Avionics Integration Organization. The selected candidate for this position will act as the Responsible Engineer (RE) for Avionics Subsystems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline and 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 0 years of related engineering experience for Hardware Responsible Engineer
  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and 1 year of related engineering experience for Principal Hardware Responsible Engineer
  • Experience designing, configuring, and installing avionics subsystems
  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP)

Nice To Haves

  • Current applicable program access
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an Engineering discipline such as Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience with Avionics Hardware Design

Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, configure, test, document, and troubleshoot avionics subsystems and hardware
  • Document designs using detailed schematics, diagrams, and specifications
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to implement subsystem performance and environmental requirements
  • Work to develop design solutions for obsolete hardware
