About The Position

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our small but passionate team of Hardware engineers working on cloud-based bioreactor control and monitoring platform. As an intern, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and testing hardware that are reliable and robust.

Requirements

  • You are between your junior and senior years in a university or college
  • Currently pursuing a BS in ME or similar
  • Knowledge of ME design principles and CAD SW (Onshape a plus)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Some familiarization with machining, sheet metal, and 3D printing.
  • Some project experience in making parts.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with other 3D CAD tools (Solidworks, PTC, NX)
  • Basic skills and interest in prototyping and fabrication.
  • Data analysis and writing technical reports.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in design of mechanical components and systems
  • Work closely w/ senior engineers and scientists in research/ experimentation
  • Support testing and validation activities
  • Collaborate in cross functional teams across disciplines.
  • Learn about fermentation, cell culture, and biotechnology.
