About The Position

A Hardware Installer is an integral part of the American Products team. As a Hardware Installer, your primary responsibility is to install and assemble hardware components on various pieces of our Enclosures. As a hardware installer you will work closely with the production team to ensure the proper installation and functionality of hardware items, such as hinges, handles, latches, brackets, and other necessary fixtures. Your attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately will be crucial in ensuring the quality and efficiency of the manufacturing process.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, shop floor documentation, customer specifications/diagrams, instructions provided by supervisors/managers.
  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience, in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Must have the mechanical aptitude to assemble products with high quality.
  • Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Requires the interpersonal skills to interact and collaborate with wide variety of internal personnel.
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
  • Must be able to interact professionally, appropriately, and courteously with customers, co-workers and other outside parties.
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Shows concern for quality and practices continuous improvement;
  • All team members must observe safety procedures and use equipment and materials properly; must wear safety glasses and steel toe boots.

Responsibilities

  • Install and assemble hardware components onto sheet metal products according to provided instructions, blueprints, or work orders.
  • Inspect hardware installations to ensure they meet company standards and product specifications.
  • Use measuring tools and equipment to ensure accurate placement, alignment, and fitting of hardware components.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or defects in hardware installations, making necessary adjustments or repairs as required.
  • Work closely with the production team to coordinate hardware installation schedules and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures while operating tools and equipment, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
