This position is for a Hardware Engineer that supports the Global Positioning System (GPS) Control Segment Sustainment (GCS) program in Colorado Springs. Candidate must have the ability to perform analysis of existing GPS systems/ hardware architectures, propose technical refresh solutions for legacy systems and identify and provide required drawing, tech order and specification updates. Candidate must have the ability to work in a team-oriented setting to achieve goals and targets in a fast paced schedule driven environment. The candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively, and provide status during project status meetings as required. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Interim Secret Clearance is required prior to starting employment. This position is contingent based on a program award spring of 2026.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated effective experience in Hardware and/or Logistics engineering to include design, documentation (Technical Drawings, Maintenance Tech Orders, Time Compliance Technical Orders, Contractor Furnished Equipment Notices), logistics (LSA 036), fielding (installation of equipment, cabling of equipment/racks, dressing racks).
  • Sustainment and development engineering experience.
  • Ability to travel OCONUS on short notice
  • US Citizenship Required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain an interim secret clearance.

  • Ability to lead a team of Hardware Engineers to facilitate the successful completion of projects.
  • Project leadership skills- Cost, schedule, and risk management.
  • Have mechanical aptitude
  • Familiarity with Auto CAD
  • Computer/electronic system diagnosis and repair
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Access Database
  • Elected candidate must be a team player and a good fit for this fast paced team and have the ability to work multiple projects simultaneously.
