About The Position

Qrypt’s unique technology independently generates symmetric keys at multiple endpoints for critical workflows today. We are a passionate team of engineers, physicists, and cryptographers committed to transforming the way the world safeguards data and communications! Qrypt is seeking a Hardware Engineer Intern to gain hands-on experience in the industry and support our team during the Spring 2026 semester. This part-time internship offers flexible hours and a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and testing of Qrypt’s Quantum Entropy Source hardware. You’ll assist with data management and organization of our Windchill tool, support hardware testing, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of experienced physicists, hardware engineers and software developers. Internship will be in Germantown, MD.

Requirements

  • Be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering
  • Possess a well-rounded academic background
  • Have a strong understanding of hardware design principles including analog and digital circuit design
  • Have experience using electronics lab and test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and signal generators
  • Have familiarity with schematic capture and PCB layout tools
  • Have excellent problem-solving skills and great attention to detail
  • Be passionate about technology and willing to learn new things
