Requirements

  • Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of electronics, digital logic, analog circuits, and PCB design principles
  • Familiarity with hardware design tools, such as schematic capture software (e.g., Altium, OrCAD, Eagle) and PCB layout software (e.g., Altium, Allegro)
  • Hands-on experience with soldering, prototyping, and hardware testing is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and debug hardware issues
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Eagerness to learn and a genuine interest in hardware engineering and technology
  • Previous internship, personal projects, or coursework related to hardware design is advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with hardware engineers and cross-functional teams to design, prototype, and test hardware solutions for MFT
  • Assist in the design and layout of printed circuit boards (PCBs) using industry-standard software
  • Participate in hardware debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving to identify and resolve issues during the development process
  • Contribute to the testing and validation of hardware components and systems, ensuring they meet performance and quality standards
  • Support the documentation process by creating and updating hardware specifications, schematics, and design documents
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, trends, and advancements in the hardware engineering field
