Requirements

  • BSEE or BSME with 10+ years of experience leading engineering teams.
  • Solid technical leadership practices for multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
  • Proven experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring project schedules, budgets, and productivity metrics.
  • Experience with design and development of products and services using state-of-the-art engineering technologies.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge/experience with opto-mechanical designs & developments.
  • Knowledge/experience with missile seeker development.
  • Experience with lasers, optics, and/or related IR technologies.
  • Design of RF technologies.
  • Designing for manufacturability.
  • Experience with Model Based Engineering (MBE).
  • Certification for Earned Value Management System (EVMS) project management techniques.
  • Current DoD Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project level leadership to ensure successful execution of program plans and accomplishment of engineering department goals.
  • Guide teams performing research, development, and consulting assignments of a professional technical nature.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams engaged in the design and development of state-of-the-art electro-mechanical products.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor project schedules, budgets, and productivity metrics.
  • Implement established Hardware Engineering design processes to achieve product quality and consistency.
  • Interface with company personnel, customers, and suppliers.
  • Support new business capture and proposal teams with development of hardware engineering cost/schedule estimates.
  • Exercise independent discretion and judgment in the performance of engineering duties.
  • Prepare appropriate reports, documents, and presentations for internal/external distribution.
  • Develop and implement design solutions, processes, and systems within budget and schedule requirements.
