About The Position

Our Platforms Infrastructure Engineering team designs and builds the hardware and software technologies that power all of Google's services. Our computational challenges are complex and unique, enabled by custom hardware designed and made in-house. Our Mechanical Product Design Engineering Team members work cross-functionally to design, build, and deploy the latest technology to support the needs of compute, storage, networking, and machine learning hardware. As a hardware engineer in the board and system design team, you will work on hardware systems projects to craft solutions for current and future data center deployments.

Requirements

• Experience in hardware design and development.
• Knowledge of ASIC/FPGA design and verification processes.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with various teams including product, software, and manufacturing.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with data center hardware systems.
• Familiarity with machine learning hardware requirements.
• Knowledge of custom silicon solutions.

Responsibilities

• Work on hardware systems projects to craft solutions for current and future data center deployments.
• Collaborate with product teams to ensure customer goals are met with your systems.
• Work with ASIC/FPGA, Software, and Verification teams to ensure proper verification of features in your systems.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing teams to ensure that designs are manufacturable and ready for volume production.
• Support Field teams with systems that are deployed in the data center.
