The hours for this position are 6:00am-2:30pm

Requirements

  • Be knowledgeable of, and conform to, plant safety rules and regulations.
  • Requires a high school or trade school diploma or equivalent manufacturing work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Plan layout of parts or assemblies from production schedules and knowledge of stock on hand. Replenish parts from storage as necessary. Select layout from orders or folios.
  • Read and interpret folios, customer orders, tickets, tags, blueprints, sketches, and operation sheets as required. Maintain supply of required parts. Transport material with hand cart to and from various departments and within the department as required.
  • Job requires knowledge of departmental procedures, stock on hand, and capacity of various assembly locations and machines. Fill out shortage tickets as needed and report all shortages to the team leader.
  • Maintain all required records including maintaining files of completed orders, finished stock production and delivery tickets. Perform all related clerical work.
  • Receive and sort incoming goods and stock in bins according to type and finish.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Maintain schedule dates by expediting production orders through various departments and operations for processing on promised dates.
  • Assemble components, devices, sub-assemblies, electric sub-assemblies and trim manually or by machine. Remove burrs as necessary. Label as necessary. Inspect & test for function and finish as required.
  • Utilize various manual hand tools, light secondary machining, air screwdrivers, mallets, gages, pliers, taps, brushes, files, hammers and key wrenches.
  • Use data entry equipment and/or barcode scanners in performance of the job.
  • Determine malfunctions and make repairs on returned goods and rejected assemblies. Check product quality to standards and frequencies described in work instructions. Notify supervision when quality requirements cannot be met. Identify and segregate nonconforming material by completing reject tickets and moving material to designated area.
  • Wrap, pack, make boxes for, and label all components, devices, sub-assemblies, and trim as required. Prepack screws and other parts, utilizing all necessary packing equipment.
