Your roleLeading the architectural design of complex hardware systems for automotive applications, including in-vehicle computing platforms, interfaces for actuators, and connectivity solutions. Developing technical specifications and requirements for hardware components and systems based on client needs and industry standards Collaborating with software teams to ensure seamless integration between hardware and software components Evaluating and recommending hardware technologies, components, and platforms to meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements Ensuring compliance with automotive safety standards, including ISO 26262, and other relevant regulations.

Requirements

  • Master of Science in Electrical, Electronic, Computer, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent program with minimum 8 years of experience in an architectural hardware/system role, preferably in the automotive industry (TIER1, TIER2)
  • Good knowledge of state-of-the-art hardware systems, software tools and algorithms for interfaces required for actuators, firmware development, in-vehicle bus architectures, and in-vehicle computing platforms
  • Advanced knowledge of ARM-based architecture and embedded electronics design constraints
  • Experience with ADAS, Infotainment Systems, Zonal Architectures, and Software Defined Vehicles
  • Solid understanding of system/component design, advanced EE architecture topologies, and safety requirements

Responsibilities

  • Leading the architectural design of complex hardware systems for automotive applications, including in-vehicle computing platforms, interfaces for actuators, and connectivity solutions.
  • Developing technical specifications and requirements for hardware components and systems based on client needs and industry standards
  • Collaborating with software teams to ensure seamless integration between hardware and software components
  • Evaluating and recommending hardware technologies, components, and platforms to meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements
  • Ensuring compliance with automotive safety standards, including ISO 26262, and other relevant regulations.

  • The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $111,200 - $178,290/ year.
  • Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

  • In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
