Camera & Photos - Hardware Allocations Engineer
About The Position
The Camera & Photos Infrastructure team is seeking a results driven and meticulously organized allocation engineer. We manage all Apple devices that the Camera & Photos organization uses for quality assurance and development of iOS and macOS applications. This position will provide the opportunity to work with the latest Apple hardware and software. As a Hardware Allocation Engineer, you will oversee the entire device lifecycle from requests to distribution to recall. This role will be responsible for forecasting resource needs, analyzing capacity constraints, and developing comprehensive plans to optimize our device utilization. Using a blend of analytical rigor, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, the Hardware Allocation Engineer will collaborate closely with project managers, functional leads, and engineering teams to drive efficient and effective hardware delivery.
Requirements
- College degree or equivalent experience
- Experience with asset management systems and inventory tracking
- Familiarity with hardware lifecycle management, including procurement, lead times, maintenance, and retirement
- Project or program management experience
- Prior experience in a lab environment
- Ability to lift up 30 lbs without assistance
