We are seeking a skilled Hardtop Assembly Technician to support the assembly and installation of hardtops, ensuring superior quality and attention to detail. Job Summary: The Hardtop Assembly Technician will be responsible for assembling, fitting, and installing hardtops according to design specifications and safety standards. This role requires strong technical skills, knowledge of composites and marine assembly practices, and a dedication to precision and quality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred.
  • Experience in marine manufacturing or related field strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of fiberglass, composites, and boat assembly techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools used in boat assembly.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and craftsmanship.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
  • Comfortable working in various conditions, including confined spaces and elevated platforms.
  • Manual dexterity and stamina to perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install hardtops following blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards, safety protocols, and company requirements.
  • Work with fiberglass, composites, adhesives, and fasteners to complete assembly tasks.
  • Inspect work for accuracy and finish, addressing any issues before final delivery.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in a safe, clean, and organized condition.
  • Accurately track materials used and report any shortages or issues to supervisors.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.
