About The Position
Barton & Gray Mariners Club (B&G) is dedicated to providing its Members with unmatched experiences on the water, operating over 90 Yachts in 33 harbors, and offering a range of products including Day-boating, Sport-fishing, Overnight Cruising, and more. B&G is hiring a Harbor Support for the Summer 2026 Season. The Harbor Support team member plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the harbor and a high-quality Member experience. This full-time, seasonal position involves working closely with the Stew & Harbor Support Manager, B&G Captains, Member Services, and Supply Chain. Key responsibilities include preparing vessels and managing inventory.
Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation for use during work day, eligible for mileage reimbursement.
- Evening, weekend and holiday availability required
- Strong communication & organizational skills, energetic, and personable
- Ability to work on a team and independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment,
- critical thinker and problem solver.
- Ability to move into and out of small spaces that may require crouching, kneeling or crawling
- Ability to lift and carry 25+ pounds.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 21 years of age preferred
- Hospitality and/or maritime experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment on the dock for Members and their guests.
- Assist Captains with vessel preparation before outings, cleaning and restocking after outings, and assist with the turnover process between trips.
- Maintain and track all vessel inventory and provisions and ensure all dock boxes and storage units are stocked.
- Communicate with the Purchasing and Supply Chain Team regarding inventory needs.
- Coordinate laundry drop off and pick up
- Support Captains with catering deliveries, provisioning, and special occasions for Member outings.
- Greet Members and their guests as they arrive and depart from the marina and assist with their belongings
- Additional duties as assigned.
