Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or related areas.
  • Previous experience in sales of spirits, wines, and/or beers.
  • Solid knowledge of spirits, wines, and beers, including styles, brands, regions, production processes, and food pairing.
  • Ability to conduct presentations, tastings, and close sales.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Valid and current Driver's License in Puerto Rico.
  • Own transportation.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends for events, tastings, or promotions.
  • Basic proficiency in computer programs and sales reporting systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Sommelier, Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET), Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) certification or similar certifications are preferred.
  • Previous experience in the alcoholic beverage industry, distribution, hotels, restaurants, bars, or food service is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Visit established clients on the route.
  • Develop a visit plan and establish sales objectives for each client.
  • Identify and develop new clients and business opportunities within the liquor, wine, and beer channel.
  • Conduct product presentations, tastings, and sales service.
  • Recommend product portfolios according to client type, rotation, season, trends, and profit margin.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of brands, varieties, regions, production processes, and food pairing.
  • Execute sales, take orders, and collect payments.
  • Follow up on promotions, displays, inventory, rotation, and promotional material at the point of sale.
  • Participate in sales meetings, product trainings, tastings, and new brand launches.
  • Support promotional activities, tastings, events, and fairs.
  • Maintain an excellent service relationship with clients and address claims or special needs.
