About The Position

This position supports the overall upkeep and functionality of the facility to maintain a safe and well-maintained work environment. The handyman works closely with maintenance staff and other departments to respond to requests efficiently and ensure issues are communicated and addressed in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.
Perform routine inspections and basic repairs on doors, windows, floors, walls, ceilings, and furniture.
Repair and patch drywall, paint surfaces, replace ceiling tiles, and fix minor carpentry issues.
Replace light bulbs, fuses, switches, and perform basic electrical maintenance.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance tools, supply areas, and workshop.
Respond quickly to maintenance requests from different departments.
Use tools and equipment safely and correctly.
Monitor building systems and report issues to the supervisor

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or a similar role.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and correctly.
• Work indoors and outdoors in various environmental conditions.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks such as bending, climbing ladders, kneeling, and standing for long periods.
