About The Position

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Hand Therapy Supervisor to join our Rehabilitation team! Position Summary: The Rehabilitation Services Supervisor will communicate timely, clearly and in a professional manner with staff, patients, patient family members, physicians, and other internal/external customers. The supervisor will demonstrate skills in listening, conflict management, system problem solving, decision-making and process improvement. As a therapist, supervisor will practice in compliance with professional standards and professional code of ethics. The supervisor is responsible for assuring that the PNHS values of Head + Heart, Together, are achieved through daily departmental operations. This includes, but is not limited to, direct patient care, professional growth and development, outcome/competency assessment, compliance with regulatory standards (JCAHO, OSHA, professional organizations, and other regulatory agencies); and participating in process improvements to advance patient care outcomes and satisfaction. The supervisor serves as a link between team members and upper-level management regarding system wide policies, procedures, and events. The supervisor is expected to provide direct patient care in their area of clinical expertise in accordance with determined departmental business need.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school with a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in clinical profession
  • Licensed with the Minnesota Department of Health.
  • This position requires credentialing, following the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) guidelines.
  • Require national certification in hand therapy specialty area by professional organization
  • Proficient with communication and data processing equipment.
  • Proficient in clinical apparatus related to area of expertise.
  • Proficient in organization electronic medical record software.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative/management experience
  • Recommend membership in related professional organization such as the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), the Minnesota Occupational Therapy Association (MOTA), or the American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT).
