Requirements

Licensed in NYS as an Occupational Therapist
Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success
Basic computer skills
CPR and first aid certification required
Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) strongly preferred OR
CHT-eligible (minimum 4,000 hours of hand therapy experience and 3 years of practice), awaiting board examination, OR
Level II fieldwork in hand therapy, with relevant continuing education, and 1–2 years of outpatient hand therapy experience as a licensed OT, OR
Level II fieldwork experience in hand therapy completed as part of an accredited Occupational Therapy program, with demonstrated clinical competency in upper extremity rehabilitation and a strong interest in pursuing hand therapy specialization
Experience treating orthopedic upper-extremity conditions across all age groups

Responsibilities

Reviewing patient medical history and developing individualized treatment plans
Diagnosing patients by observing movements and listening to concerns
Using exercises, stretching, equipment, and manual therapy to manage pain and improve mobility
Recording patient progress and modifying treatment plans as needed
