About The Position

The Material Handler at Champion Home Builders, Inc. is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing hand tools, materials, and equipment. This role includes maintaining records of tools and equipment issued and returned, locating lost or misplaced items, and preparing periodic or perpetual inventory of tools and equipment. The Material Handler will also receive, unpack, and store incoming tools and supplies, notify supervisors of inventory shortages, and report tool damage. Additionally, the position involves repairing, servicing, and lubricating tools and equipment, marking and identifying tools, and performing other temporary duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school education or GED.
• Up to one-month related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Issues tools and equipment to employees and maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned.
• Locates lost or misplaced tools and equipment.
• Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment.
• Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and supplies, and notifies supervisor of inventory shortages.
• Issues tools, equipment and supplies and reports tool damage to supervisors.
• Repairs, services, and lubricates tools and equipment.
• Marks and identifies tools and equipment.
• Performs other temporary duties on a regular basis.
