Requirements

  • MSDS sheets and their location training completed.
  • Component ID training completed.
  • Quality systems training.
  • All safety and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) requirements of the area.
  • Principles of ESD and uses ESD precautions in material handling.
  • Inventory control methods (i.e. shortages, NCM process, and understanding of work order system).
  • All material transactions within computer (inventory audit trails).
  • ECR database knowledge.
  • ITAR restrictions when dealing with badges and ITAR related materials and documentation.
  • The 6S system (Sort, Simplify, Sweep, Standardize, Self-Discipline, Safety) and adherence to its principles.
  • The Green Sheet program and efforts to continuously improve the company's mission statement, quality policy and performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general area/equipment/machine cleaning.
  • Demonstrate proper technique for clinching and trimming leads to avoid flying leads and potential safety issues.
  • Demonstrate proper material handling techniques to ensure component reliability and avoid damaging components and boards.
  • Set-up, verify, and use tools and equipment in area, and is certified when required on machines in area.
  • Operate and verify torque of torque wrenches per SOP07/2-37.
  • Follow requirements for 1st piece inspections and in-process audits.
  • Identify and segregate non-conforming material.
  • Review shelf life of materials prior to usage (when applicable).
  • Demonstrate proper handling precautions when working with process chemicals and materials.
  • Measure height requirements with appropriate measuring tools when required.
  • Access Online Work Instructions properly and return bin labels to proper location.
  • Identify work order, assembly number, and revision level of assembly from manufacturing instructions.
  • Correctly handle process deviation or ECO as per manufacturing instructions.
  • Work without assistance using manufacturing instructions with acceptable quality results.
  • Follow proper protocol for contacting ME and Maintenance personnel for modifications or alterations to equipment, tooling, fixtures.
  • Follow process as specified in manufacturing instructions and that deviating without documented approval by ME may result in disciplinary action.
  • Use the appropriate method to request changes, corrections or clarification to a manufacturing instruction.
